Restaurants on La Palma: Celta - Restaurante "Franchipani"
Innovative Cuisine providing an Exotic Touch
Discover fresh and local products interpreted in the world cuisine-style and served in a cosy and relaxing atmosphere enjoying a friendly service.
The chef restaurateur, Heidy de Vorst, who originally comes from a small village near Eidhoven, became acquainted with exotic flavours and dishes adapting foreign ingredients and preparation methods on the Netherlands Antilles and in Puerto Rico.

Every now and then the weekly menu of the Restaurant Franchipani tempts with "Tuna-Sashimi, sake, soy sauce, grainy mustard, rucola, cabbage turnip und beetroot". On the recently updated menu the spicy Thai fish soup makes your mouth water.
However, local cuisine is also interpreted: For instance there is an appetizer Crème brûlée made of La Palma goat cheese with crunchy almond bread served with oven roasted red pepper.
Vegetarian Dishes as well as fresh high quality Fish and Meat

Besides Asian or Carribean flavours there are also offered fine traditional dishes.

Whetting the appetite are for example "Beef tenderloin 220 grams on light red wine with French fries and salad" as well as vegetarian specialities like "Crumble with roasted red pepper, zucchini, La Palma goat cheese, crumled nuts served with Dijon mustard-orange sauce and salad" or "Eggplant-Gordon Bleu with cheese filling and tomato sauce served with celery purée".
Selected Wines

Rüdiger Wastl, Heidy's business partner and spouse is in charge of the service and is a true wine expert.
He carefully selects wines from La Palma and Spain that complement their dishes. It's worth asking for his recommendation, as those precious drops perfectly round off the unique gastronomic experience.
