What a Panoramic View!

The viewpoint Mirador La Muralla and the restaurant are easy to find, located directly at the LP-1 (Km 83,1), right after Tijarafe, on the road to Puntagorda. 

Despite its convenient roadside location, the setback restaurant building and its lateral enclosed and sea facing terrace make you loose yourself in the natural setting and the view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Parking is provided. The viewpoint as well as the restaurants are perfectly accessible for wheelchairs.

For some time the Mirador, built from public funds, also has a night attraction as "Mirador Astronómico" (astronomical viewpoint) observing the starry sky.

After Sunset you can enjoy a true Colour Spectacle

The restaurant opened its doors in 2005.

The modern building captivates due to its stylish cosy blend of a fairfaced concret and solid wood.

The wooden roof reminds of that in a concert hall, providing a pleasant acoustic.

Panoramic windows allow an imposing ocean view from every table in the restaurant.

The overall light and friendly appearance is anything but flashy.

The transperancy of the building as well as the service staff are friendly and inviting.

Snack, Coffee Break, Lunch or Dinner

It is a perfect place to enjoy a small break and have a drink at the bar, a coffee, a cake or one of the homemade desserts, relax after a trip or enjoy  one of the delicious dishes.  

Waiting time for your ordered meal will be cut short by enjoying a served bread and a tasty mayonnaise with smoked aubergines.

Wines from La Palma, that are offered are, amongst others (from the Subzona Norte and  the northwest of the island, where the restaurant is located):

• Vega Norte,
• El Níspero,
• Piedra Jurada
• as well as „La Gota“ from the Bodega Teneguía in the south of the Isla Bonita.

Parilla and Tapas

Portions are generous although prices are moderate. 

On weekends the restaurant is mainly frequented by local people, who celebrate the Spanish „picoteo“. This means, they order various dishes and share them, which gives them the opportunity to taste more meals at the same time.

Grill specialities, Tapas, omelettes made from ostrich eggs and more interesting creations are found on the menu.

„Nido con Polo“ (chicken nest) is one dish made of fried sweet potatoe strips with chicken, vegetable and Asian sauce. A vegetarian version is available as well as one with a different meat choice.

By Palmerian standards, the variety of vegetarian dishes is quite large and of course mainly local ingredients are used. Eggs are supplied by ostrichs, that are kept in enclosures further down from the restaurant.

Certificate of Sustainability

The certificate of the Instituto de Turismo Responsable (institute for responsible tourism) proves the compliance with the requirements and principles that promote La Palma as a sustainable holiday destination. 

The institute is connected to the UNESCO and the World Tourism Organisation.
