Restaurants auf La Palma: Garafía - Tasca "El Castillo"

From the small wooden terrace you can spot almond trees and enjoy a view down to the Atlantic Ocean

Nestled in a peaceful setting in the northwest of the island, Dorit Köhler-Eobald and her husband Eo run the inviting Tasca El Castillo.

Guests can make themselves comfortable on the flower-decked terrace in front of the house or choose one of the sitting areas distributed over the property.

Pillows and flowers at the tables create a true feel-well-ambience.

On cooler days the cosy guest room with a wood-fired oven invites to linger.

As soon as Dorit welcomes her guests she makes them feel like home. She and Eo take shifts in the kitchen and a waitron assits them.

Ingredients for freshly prepared dishes almost entirely come from local farms and suppliers.

Organic products are given preference and are bought either directly from producers in Garafía or at the farmers market in Puntagorda.

Provençal lamb, beef rissole and a spicy curry are the classic dishes of the tasty cuisine. 

However, also vegetarians and vegans, besides crispy salads with organic herbs, at least they find one main dish.

Seasonal offerings complement the permanent menu and homemade cakes and desserts make a gran finale.
