Light and shadow

—  This photo by Kike Navarro was taken in an area of the port of Tazacorte.

The curious structure of the huge breakwater is the result of an artistic design of the protective colossus. The buttress arches provide the play of light and shadow. The curvature of the dyke, helps to better blend the structure into nature.

It is a much visited place, not only by tourists. People usually go there for a walk or a jog. 

At the moment of taking the photo, Kike paid attention to the strongest contrasts. Both tonally (the light elements contrast against dark ones and vice versa) and the mixture of the imposing structure and a tiny-looking person. Wherever you look, your gaze is thus drawn to the smallest point, which is the protagonist.
