Santa Cruz by night

— With his photo, Kike Navarro shows us the magic of the capital at night.

A stroll through the cobbled streets of Santa Cruz is a pleasure at any time of day.

If we wait until sunset, we can enjoy the contrast between the dark blue sky and the dim light of the orange street lamps.

Santa Cruz de La Palma has a very special and unique atmosphere; you have the feeling of living in another time. No glaring neon signs and noisy nightlife fill the historic city centre.

A walk along the so-called Calle Real, the Royal Street, is particularly popular. It consists of Calle Anselmo Pérez de Brito and Calle O'Daly and leads from the Plaza Alameda with the Ship Museum to the end of the pedestrian zone near the post office building.

This is in the courtyard of an old town house very close to the town hall and Plaza España with the church of El Salvador. Various alleys quickly lead to the Avenida Marítima, with its colourful houses and flower-adorned balconies.

It is a luxury to stroll through the old town after a day's excursion and stop for dinner in one of the restaurants
