Restaurants on La Palma: Santa Cruz - Restaurant La Placeta
In the Old Towncentre David Leiva Ruiz since 2007 runs the Restaurant La Placeta
Located in a typical Canary 18th century house, the back side of the bulding forms part of the famous "typical balconies" of the Avenida Marítima Santa Cruz de La Palma.
All dishes are prepared freshly at Restaurante La Placeta.
Therefore it takes a little longer until you get you ordered plate. However, rack of the lamb from the oven with baked potatoes and other delights are worth waiting for.
From breakfast to dinner - all dishes can be served on the terrace.
For those in a hurry toasts and Tapas are offered.
A special treat are homemade cakes like warm apple strudel with warm vanilla sauce or bee sting cake.
If you prefer a wider choice you can select your favourite dish from the restaurant menu, where you also find vegetarian and vegan food.
Where Tradition and Modern Go Hand in Hand
In the small Bistro, inside the house, old walls, roofs and the charm of the original building have been preserved.
And in the dining rooms, on the upper level, century old heartwood beams made of the Canary Pinewood combine traditional and modern design.
Highly motivated Kitchen Staff & Service Team
David Leiva Ruiz wants his guests to feel comfortable, which, besides of the good quality of the meals, requires a courteous service.
With a surprising invitation for a week-long cruise he expressed special thanks to his staff for their commitment, especially during the festival week celebrating the Descent of the Virgin 2015 on La Palma.
