Construction of the LP-2 Los Llanos-Tazacorte Bypass Road

Construction works in Tazacorte

Construction Works on the LP-2 Los Llanos-Tazacorte bypass road have been restarted in Summer 2018, after the project was shut down in 2012 due to financial reasons. 

One challenge is the slope between the town and port of Tazacorte, which had to be bridged over. There is one particular spot, at the canyon of Tenisca, where the road leads through a 200 meter "false tunnel", that is bordered on both sides by retaining walls of variable heights.

Costs for the 2.200 meter tree-lane road: 15.723.155,05 €

Unfortunately, it is difficult to estimate how long the work will continue or which sections will be built.

  Desde Residencial San Miguel es inapreciable el poquísimo ruido que en poquísimas ocasiones se percibe. Además el efecto "pantalla acústica" que tienen las plataneras que hay delante favorece esa falta de percepción del ruido.
