Construction of the LP-2 Los Llanos-Tazacorte Bypass Road

1 March 2019

Construction works are scheduled to last 30 months

Construction Works on the LP-2 Los Llanos-Tazacorte bypass road have been restarted in Summer 2018, after the project was shut down in 2012 due to financial reasons.

One challenge is the slope between the town and port of Tazacorte, which had to be bridged over. There is one particular spot, at the canyon of Tenisca, where the road leads through a 200 meter "false tunnel", that is bordered on both sides by retaining walls of variable heights.

Costs for the 2.200 meter tree-lane road: 15.723.155,05 €

January 2020:
Following buildings are affected by construction nuisance at this moment: "La Palmita" and "Apartamentos Soleados". The impact on the "San Miguel" building is minimal.

We are in touch with the construction site supervision and will keep you posted about the situation.
