Villa Arriba is a 120 year old typical Canary Holiday House

Villa Arriba is situated on the west coast of La Palma, above La Punta de Tijarafe, 750 metres above sea level. 

The Holiday House offers a beautiful detached location. From the pool area you enjoy a gorgeous view of the below valley and the sea.

It has been fully renovated about 15 years ago and welcomes many regular guests since.

Benefiting from an elevated position, the 3500m² property offers a dreamlike view of the mountains and the sea. 

The Holiday House comprises 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a large living-/dining area.

The main bedroom features warm dominant tones.

The mahagany furniture perfectly blend with the dark wooden ceiling. Chandelier-shaped ceiling lamps give the room a very special touch. Next to the wardrobe there is a small desk. The television is also located in the main bedroom.

Between the two bedrooms there is a shared bathroom with a shower, a toilet and a wash hand basin with a mirror and a vanity unit.

The two bedrooms are acoustically not separated, the walls remained open at the top, in order to preserve the natural Canary structure. However, the bathroom is fully enclosed.

The second, smaller bedroom has two single beds.

An eye-catcher is the high-quality designed metal bed frame. Angle images adorn the wall.

A light-flooded hallway leads to the spacious combined living-dining area with a kitchen. Besides of the large sofa there is a beautiful wooden bench to make yourself comfortable. The crockery is stored in the blue base cupboard, that is located between the living room and the kitchen.

A stereo system and books are located on top of the cupboard, making your evening comfortable and entertaining. The living area provides direct access to the pool, the terrace and the barbecue area.

Well equipped Kitchen and Outdoor Area

The entire worktop and the counter are tiled, which gives the kitchen its quaint charm. 

The counter separates the kitchen optically from the living room and features 5 stools.  Another nice place to enjoy an open air breakfast is the roofed terrace.

In the centre of the Holiday House there is a split system, which can be used as an air-condition during summer and  as a heating in winter, if required.

The lagoon-shaped pool is surrounded by a lovely outdoor area, which is nicely arranged and maintained, many plants, palm trees and lawns create a true oasis of well-being.

Loungers, sun-umbrella and many other sitting corners provide plenty of space to relax.

You enjoy a marvellous view of the mountains and of La Punta down to the sea.

If you love to prepare fresh food during your holidays, the small barbecue area with a table and two benches is just the right thing for you!

La Punta is 5-10 driving minutes from Villa Arriba. There you find a small supermarket where you can buy all daily necessities.

A German bakery sells excellent whole meal bread. In La Punta there are also small bars, where you can try Tapas.

El Pueblo de Tijarafe is 10-15 driving minutes from the Holiday House. There you also find a supermarket with a larger variety, as well as banks, a whole food store and a pharmacy. You enjoy good food in the local pizza restaurant or at the Kiosko Diablo (snack stand).

Behind the Village of Tijarafe there is the viewpoint restaurant La Muralla, where you not only enjoy a spectacular view but also are served excellent local food.

Very close to the Holiday House there is the viewpoint Mirador del Time. You can also enjoy a 30-minutes hike to get there.

A hiking trail leads 10 minutes to another viewpoint, the Mirador Insular. 

From there you enjoy a panoramic view of the Caldera de Taburiente, the Adriane Valley and the Cumbre Vieja.

Right below the property passes the island hiking loop GR 131, that also leads to the Torre del Time and to Puerto de Tazacorte (30-50 hiking minutes).

The next bathing beach is in Puerto de Tazacorte, about 15 driving minutes from Villa Arriba. Enjoy freshly caught fish of the island in one of the many fish restaurants at the harbour.
