casas_aljibe_138Casas Aljibe - the name means "fountain"  — is a traditional, lovingly restored semi-detached house that features two independent Holiday Houses. 

Each Holiday House has 1 bedroom, an ensuite bathroom, a living room with an open kitchen and a very spacious terrace.

The property offers a marvellous sea view as well as a wide view of the surrounding unspoilt nature. The pool area and a large part of the garden are enclosed and not visible from outside.

A polished and natural wood floor as well as the original Canary windows create a homely atmosphere.

Modern comfort is provided by the satellite TV, DVD-player and the stereo system.

On chilly evenings the fireplace in front of the living room sofa is a great place to make yourself comfortable. There is a separate heating for the other rooms.

The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave oven as well as various electronic kitchen appliances.

The bedroom has 2 single beds and there is a over-bath shower in the bathroom.

Each unit features its private, furnished winter garden with panoramic windows and a private front terrace. A partition separates the terraces and offers utmost privacy.

The garden is very spacious. It has several, landscaped terraces and offers many sunny or shady corners for relaxation.

Located on one of the terraced platforms the beautiful swimming pool (10 x 4 m) features a large sun terrace and is surrounded by shady pepper plants and flowering bushes.

On another terraced garden space you find the large roofed outdoor kitchen. There is also a barbecue area and a table with chairs, where you can enjoy dining outside till late at night and admire the marvellous starlit sky.

Next to the outdoor kitchen there are two locked utility rooms - one for each Holiday Home. There you find a washing machine, a dryer, a laundry rack, an ironing board and cushions for the sun loungers. In the third small house there is a toilet.

Las Tricias

The village Las Tricias is situated in one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the north-west of the island La Palma.  

The old trail Camino Real passes close to the Holiday House so that you can start your hiking tour right in front the doorway. You might be interested to visit the popular Buracas caves or take the circular trail GR130 which leads trough deep Barancos (canyons) and picturesque villages.

Dragon trees and Palm trees characterise the Landscape

At the end of January the flowering almond trees change the entire landscape of the north-west into a splendour of light pink blossoms.

Dreamlike sunsets, unspoilt nature and there are hawks, making circles in the sky. All these impressions are just the right ingredients for relaxing holidays in Las Tricias. 

Puntagorda is located within 10 driving minutes from Casas Aljibe and offers shopping facilities. The weekend market is a great attraction for the local people.

The access to the western connecting road to Roque de los Muchachos with the observatories is only a 15 minutes' drive from the Holiday Houses.
