Garden and mountain views in the holiday finca in rural El Paso
The location of the accommodation is relatively central and convenient for excursions to both sides of the Canary Island of San Miguel de La Palma.
The centre of El Paso is easily accessible by car (2 min) as well as on foot (10-15 min). The lively old town of Los Llanos de Aridane with its beautiful plaza and pedestrian zone can be reached in about 10 minutes by car. The sandy beach of Tazacorte is about 14 km away.
The holiday home is south-facing and is formed in an L-shape around the romantic inner courtyard.
Here you can enjoy time outdoors without any effort. Immediately after getting up, you breathe in the clean air here – at night you step out of the bedroom and let yourself be impressed by the sight of the starry sky. The sun lounger in the patio is perfect for astronomical observations.
A table with bench, parasol and chairs offers an idyllic dining place at any time of the day right next to the kitchen. Behind the house is paradise: an evergreen pepper tree (Schinus molle, peruvian peppertree), which provides particularly beautiful shade with its many feathery branches swaying gently in the wind. The tree with the willow-like branches can become up to 100 years old and 12 metres high. It grows next to two benches, a table and a lounger. There is a barbecue at one corner of the house.
The lovingly restored Casa Elena (last renovation 2022, renewal of furniture, etc.) was built in 1852 and offers its guests space on 85 sqm.
The Canarian rural style with cosy wooden ceilings, antique furniture, deep window niches that serve as seating areas, combines rustic with modern elements and pleasant colours in the homely farmhouse.
The focal point of the attractive kitchen with its large work surface is the dining table for four people. A modern electric cooker, extractor hood, dishwasher, large fridge-freezer and sensible equipment make it easy for you to cater for yourself on holiday.
Next to the kitchen is the bedroom with two single beds, armchair and direct terrace access.
The bathroom behind the kitchen offers a spacious shower, washstand, WC, bidet, hairdryer, heating and a washing machine. Towels are changed once a week and there is also sufficient bed linen available.
There is a built-in cupboard in the hallway. A farmer's cupboard offers storage space in the small passage room with a small table and two wicker armchairs.
The bedroom with a double bed and a large wall of closets adjoins here; it is not acoustically separated from the living room next to it, as the ceiling is open to the top.
In the living room, which shares the rustic wooden ceiling with the bedroom, you will find a comfortable sofa, an antique heartwood chest as a living room table, a TV, modern furniture, antiques as well as travel literature. Here, too, the window alcoves offer themselves as seating areas.
Both bedrooms have mobile radiators.
