Casa Alma Marina is a marvelous, modern and exclusive Holiday Domicile

Situated on the outskirts of the town Tazacorte, the Holiday House offers a spacious south-west facing roof terrace, an open sea view, an intimate garden with a gorgeous pool and upscale furnishing.

The Holiday House is perfect for 2 up to 4 adults, however, it sleeps up to 6 persons. 

Due to its open architecture and the unsecured pool, Casa Alma Marina is suited only for children as from 8 years.

Alma Marina once was an old Canary town house,
that has been completely gutted and fully remodeled by its owners in 2016

Its simple outward appearance gives no indication of the precious gem hidden behind the facade. 

Open steel beams, a spatial sense of space and bright, white washed walls create this special ambience.

With love and stylistic competence, the owners furnished the entire 140m² living space.

Many large and small windows flood the Holiday House with light underlining its spaciousness.  

An open architecture with up to three-meter-high rooms on the main level and the masterly blend of old and modern elements create a Mediterranean flair. 

The tasteful pieces of art are originals. 

Even the 400m² spacious outdoor area was rearranged and features a solar heated saltwater pool and a cosy lounge sitting area.

The outdoor shower boosts with a hot-cold water regulator.  Since March 2017 a garage is provided for the guests'rental car.

Casa Alma Marina comprises three levels

Seen from the property entrance, the main level with an open kitchen, a living area, bathroom and the master bedroom is located on the first floor, accessible from the garden via a massive iron outdoor staircase (18 stairs). 

On the ground level, there is also a bedroom with a private shower bath. 

On the second level, there is a light-flooded lounge opened to the stairwell whose entire long side is attached to the sea view terrace.

Furniture in the lounge can easily be converted into comfortable beds, that offer the same comfort as the beds in the master bedroom.

An ensuite shower bath completes the lounge area.

The open kitchen on the main level is very well equipped and provides every comfort

From the induction cooktop to the oven and dish washer, everything is at your entire disposal. 

In the living room, that offers a sea view from its windows, there are two light leather sofas, a glass table, a large concave flat screen satellite TV, a large round pull-out dining table with four chairs (two more are available) as well a small working area with a wicker chair.  Wireless ADSL Internet access is provided.

On one side, there is the master bedroom offering a sea view

It is furnished with a double bed with viscoelastic mattresses and night tables with lamps. 

The closet for your holiday wardrobe is in the living room. All windows in the living- and bedroom area have mosquito nets.

The bathrooms on the upper level as well as downstairs are modern. One bathroom has a walk-in shower and the other a shower with a low base, both have glass doors.  

There are spacious vanities, a bidet, two toilets, bathrobes, towels, and a hair dryer. Electric radiators are provided on request.

We constantly strive for further improvements towards even more eco-friendly vacations 
for our guests and a more sustainable island in general

We wanted to let you know that we have used every effort to make our holiday homes the most energy efficient and eco-friendly so that our visitors find it even easier to enjoy a “green” vacation.

Examples are:

  • Solar panels that produce the energy for our houses.
  • Salt water pools.
  • Mosquito and fly screens on all windows to prevent the use of repellent sprays.
  • LED based lighting whenever feasible.
  • At least AA if not AAA appliances.
  • Provision of biodegradable bags and bin for food/kitchen waste along with the provision of a complete recycle bin system: this goes hand in hand with a careful explanation at check-in how and what to recycle and where our guests can find the public recycle and biodegradable stations near the houses.
  • We not only encourage recycling, we supply our houses with recycled toilet paper and paper towels when feasible (unless our leaving guests have left a non-recycled paper products).
  • Shopping bags and cool bags are supplied for our guests to use when going to the grocery stores.
  • Local fruit basket at reception, when feasible from organic growth or from our garden.
  • Guests may harvest kitchen herbs and fruit from our gardens if feasible.
  • One bottle of handcrafted local wine.
  • Local products: Bread, cheeses, eggs, dried bananas and more (delivered upon request to the house)
  • Drinking water filtration systems and or refillable water crates with glass-bottled filtered water in the still or sparkling variety at the house.
  • Garden maintenance without chemical sprays nor fertilisers.
  • All major hiking and activity guides of the island are available for use at our houses. Additionally beach and pool towels are provided.
  • Absolutely no air conditioners as it is not necessary if cross ventilation between open windows/doors on each side of the house is guaranteed.
  • We are contributing members to atomsfair.
  • The location of Casa Alma Marina allows our visitors a holiday-stay without the need of a car if they choose to do so, as the house is located in close walking distance to the center of Tazacorte and from there most island destinations can be reached by bus, taxi or e-bike. (Taxi or bus transfer from and to the airport can be coordinated and reservations can be made upon request).
  • Additionally both houses are close to e-bike rental stations. Our own solar panels allow for the sun to recharge their batteries.

Casa Alma Marina is situated in the district Marina Abajo, on the outskirts of Villa de Tazacorte

The region is characterized by town houses, surrounded by banana plantations.

All facilities offered by Villa de Tazacorte are located within a short walking distance from the Holiday House. Supermarkets, banks, and restaurants are within 7 minutes.

During a sightseeing walk through the town you can discover much about its history.

Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy a 25-30 minute’s hike from the Holiday House down to the beach of Puerto de Tazacorte.

There, you can swim in the sea or enjoy freshly caught fish in one of the restaurants at the promenade.

The center is only a 5 minutes’ drive from Casa Alma Marina, Los Llanos 10 minutes and the airport a one hour drive.
