Construction works in Puerto Naos
3 June 2019Major construction site in popular beach resort
In May 2019 extended construction works (rerouting of streets, parking lots) have been started in Puerto Naos with the aim to embellish the seaside resort.

Modernisation adds up to the successfully expansion of the beach promenade, which was completed in 2013, and far beyond the municipal borders of Los Llanos de Aridane, both projects aim for increasing attractiveness of La Palma as a tourism destination.
Construction works started with interventions along the road „Avenida Cruz Roja“ (until the road sector “Maximiliano Darias Montesinos”) at the “Barranco de Los Hombre” canyon), directly at the village entrance. Subsequently, they will soon be extended to the roads “José Guzman Perez Perez” and “Mauricio Duque”.
For the construction works in the „Zona Commercial Abierta“ (ZCA, open commercial zone) a budget of 720.687 € has been estimated. Funds are supplied by the “Fondo de Desarollo de las Canarias” (FDCAN, Canary Island Development Fund).
The small village Los Naos will be impaired by dust, road bypasses, construction noise, also affecting some La Palma Travel-Holiday Apartments to different extends.
